The Cyclone season is upon us, running from November through to April. It is important for people and companies in areas affected by cyclones to be well prepared for the significant weather impacts that they bring. Tropical cyclones bring damaging winds, storm surges and flooding, turning everyday objects into flying projectiles or floating juggernauts that damage everything in their way.
At Anchoring Rope and Rigging (AR+R) we really know our ropes when it comes to the anchoring of agricultural trellises, shade houses, net structures and catenaries used for crop production, crop protection, sports facilities, ecological and industrial applications. The company was founded in 2008 and is a specialist developer, manufacturer and supplier of ground anchoring products and ground anchoring systems. In 2013 AR+R launched its class leading range of Hulk ground anchors for use in a variety of markets and applications including agricultural applications. Hulk Agri Ground anchors are used to quickly and effectively construct and erect crop trellises, catenaries (such as the fauna crossing that cross our main highways), shade houses, wind breaks, sports nets and fences. Our products and services aim to make anchoring matters uncomplicated and give piece of mind to our clients. A full service is offered – from design, engineering and planning, to manufacture and installation to meet the needs of the client.
In response to sustained year on year growth and having outgrown its Hornsby facility AR+R has moved to beautiful “WIRRA WILLA” estate on the Somersby Plateau, north of Sydney.Boasting acres of land and magnificent scenery, the new manufacturing and warehousing facility incorporates 400 sqm of undercover manufacturing and 100sqm of office space with ample room for expansion. The open surround is perfect for live demonstrations, in-ground testing of new Hulk anchoring products and field days. Visiting engineers, distributors and customers can be assured of a great time learning about our technologies, whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Corrosion in ground support components has always been an ongoing area for industry concern. Given the down side of soil and structure failures because of corrosion, as well as the hidden cost of longer term rehabilitation work, we are constantly asked about this topic.
